Well hello Bloggers, Its been a while. I guess I had so much to do I let this place slip a little.

I go to some of these events and film what happened and upload it to my youtube channel every mid-week-ish. So if you want to feature in an episode just post there.

Still going strong after 2 years I post all my episode, random videos and singing. Most videos are accompanied by a few tunes I've created in ableton. Merely for background noise and ambience. They do not reflect the wonderfully entertaining sounds that happen when you enter Second Life.

Riffage! My first ever muppet type puppet.... Created in the past week with many improvements to come. He is a rat with attitude, or shall we say rattitude. Everybody needs an outlet and Riffage is the Ruppet with bags of character. He has only appeared twice so far. In a thumbnail for a recent rant video and singing along to a song featured in a Theme Park Worldwide Channel
 episode. The one where they visit fantasy Island aquarium ride. It's addictively catchy and I've been humming it for the past year.

Oh It's only monday isnt it? Crikey, where is the month going? The news says there will be a heatwave tomorrow so maybe I wont get so much done Online. Lol

Ohh before I go... I opened my biggest new store yet near the fabulous Hyde park. It's so big I used the remaining space for outer space, and theres also a mini planet ride to get you slightly dizzy!

To Windows 10 or not to? that is the question (of the day)

Hello!

This is Lokirat, blogging live from windows 10. I made it through alive! Yey!

As many of us on 8.1 are being offered the free upgrade to windows 10, I took steps today to join in on the fun.

Id seen quite a few bug reports regarding firestorm's compatibility with 10, that there was a communication issue of sorts with the graphics card on amd pc's.
Bit of a worry for me as a huge chunk of why i have a pc is because of my SL habit.
I was so excited to upgrade but didnt want to risk losing access to the virtual kingdom!

So, I bit my lip and went for it having seen some bugs were fixed so far, and most reports id read were from way back in spring. I thought it worth a risk. Maybe if there was an issue i could just go back to the default SL viewer as i hear that works fine... but i love using firestorm very much,
I didnt think it would be long before patches and fixes are released, so i started the upgrade with crossed paws and went off for a rl walk to let it do it's thang.

On returning I was greeted by a cheerie new layout, a more detailed display and lovely thin boarders on the programme windows.
Delving into firestorm was my first port of call... I can report that all is fine here!

Ok, ok, its not all rosy. I've had video skipping issues in firefox and it crashes mainly when full screen'ing any videos, but hey at least my beloved firestormx64 is ok, and im glad to report that Blender 2.7 seems to work ok too*

Only thing in firestorm i noticed was my avi was once again doing typing noises when i type in chat and when i edit appearance i do the T position... yes that horrid position. *shudders* but it was easily fixed in preferences. Strangely, all my other pref settings were as they were before the upgrade.

Also must mention Cortana is pretty impressive! She's saving about 50% of my search engine typing which is a huge bonus for me and my stupid ouchy wrists :) plus she has a tonne of great easter eggs to play with. My favourite has to be "beam me up scotty" and cortana's resposes. il let you discover these and not spoil them.

*Hmm... somehing that bugs me tho is uploading mesh... it gets chewed up and resized weirdly between exporting from blender and uploading to sl. Not sure if it's just one of those issues that would have happened regardless of upgrading, or if its my amateur meshing about, but il keep an eye on it for now.

End of another shop era

Today is the last day of my old shop, again, lol.

I was so keen to rent next door i decided to let the rent run out and install an arcade.
I took some pictures before I removed the lot a few hours ago, enjoy!
